The UV method is a newer way of bonding extensions: instead of a standard adhesive it uses a gel cured under a UV lamp. The difference is that the bond does not set gradually in the air but exactly when we decide — the moment the light goes on.

That has two practical consequences. The bond stays more flexible and holds better, so the set lasts longer. And because nothing sets on its own, we can keep adjusting the lash and the bond right up to the last second.

Who we recommend it to

  • Clients whose classic sets shed sooner than they should.
  • Anyone sensitive to the fumes of standard adhesive — the UV gel gives off none.
  • Oilier skin, or anyone who perspires a lot, where classic adhesive loses its hold.
  • Anyone who wants the longest possible gap between appointments.

How it works

Preparation is the same as for a classic set: we check the condition of the lashes, degrease them and secure the lower lashes. The set is then built in sections and each section is cured under the lamp. The lamp gives off almost no heat and your eyes stay closed and protected the whole time.

The appointment takes about two hours. Unlike classic adhesive there is no curing left to do once you leave — it is done. Which also means the usual “no water for 24 hours” rule does not apply.

Retention and infills

A UV set usually holds a little longer than a classic one; for some clients five to six weeks. Infills follow the same logic: we replace what has shed with the natural lash.

Looking after them at home

  • You can wash your face straight away, there is nothing to wait for.
  • Oil-based removers are best avoided here too.
  • Brush with a spoolie, never crimp with eyelash curlers.
  • Leave removal to us — a UV bond is dissolved with a different product than classic adhesive.

Before you book

  • Your booking is confirmed automatically once you pay the 25% deposit or the full amount online.
  • You can move or cancel your appointment up to 72 hours in advance in your account. If something unexpected comes up, please get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

How does the UV method differ from classic lash extensions?

Instead of air-curing adhesive, a gel is used which is cured with a UV lamp. The bond is more flexible and durable, usually lasts longer, and you do not have to worry about avoiding water for the first 24 hours after application.

Is a UV lamp safe for the eyes?

Yes. Your eyes are closed throughout the entire treatment, and your lower lashes are protected with a pad. The lamp shines for a short time and generates minimal heat.

Can I wash my face immediately after a UV application?

Yes. The gel cures instantly, so there is no waiting period like with traditional adhesive. However, you should still avoid oil-based make-up removers.

How long do UV lash extensions last?

Usually a little longer than a traditionally applied set; for some clients, five to six weeks. The longevity still primarily depends on your natural lash cycle and home care.

Can a UV set be refilled with traditional adhesive?

They do not mix. The set is refilled using the same method it was originally applied with, and it is removed with a product specifically designed for UV gel — so please do not attempt removal at home.
