Legal information
Terms and conditions
Effective from 21 July 2026

The seller is registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register kept by the competent trade licensing office. Not registered for VAT. All prices stated are final.
2. The buyer
The buyer is either a consumer or an entrepreneur. A consumer is any individual who enters into a contract with the seller outside the scope of their business activity. Provisions of these terms concerning consumer rights do not apply to entrepreneurs purchasing in the course of their business.
3. Formation of the contract
- The presentation of goods and services on the website is informative. The seller is not obliged to enter into a contract — in particular where the goods cannot be supplied or the price is manifestly incorrect.
- The buyer places an order by completing the order form. Before submitting it, the buyer can review and change the details entered.
- The contract is formed when the order confirmation is delivered to the buyer’s email address. We send the confirmation automatically and without delay after the order is placed.
- The buyer agrees to the use of means of distance communication. The buyer bears their own internet and telephone costs, which do not differ from the standard rate.
4. Price and payment terms
- Prices of goods and services are stated as final. In addition to the price, the buyer pays the packaging and delivery costs shown in the order.
- Payment can be made by card through the PayU payment gateway, by bank transfer to the seller’s account, or in cash or by card at the premises when collecting in person.
- When paying by transfer, the buyer must state the variable symbol given in the order confirmation. The obligation is fulfilled when the amount is credited to the seller’s account.
- The seller issues a proof of payment once the payment is received and sends it electronically. A proforma invoice is issued first, followed by the final document once paid.
5. Delivery of goods
- Goods are delivered by the method chosen in the order — the options and prices are listed under Shipping and payment.
- Goods in stock are usually dispatched within one working day of the contract being formed, or of the payment being credited where paid in advance. If goods are not in stock, we inform the buyer.
- The buyer must inspect the goods on receipt. If the packaging is damaged, the buyer is not obliged to accept the parcel — the damage should be reported to the carrier and the seller.
- If the buyer fails to accept the goods without stating a reason, the seller is entitled to compensation for the dispatch costs incurred.
6. Withdrawal from the contract
- A consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
- It is enough to send the withdrawal to info@beautymaniac.cz or in writing to the address of the premises. The deadline is met if the consumer sends the withdrawal on the last day of the period.
- The consumer returns the goods within 14 days of withdrawal, preferably unused, complete and with proof of purchase. The consumer bears the cost of returning the goods.
- The seller refunds the money received within 14 days of withdrawal, but no earlier than after receiving the goods or proof that they were sent. The refund includes delivery costs up to the amount of the cheapest delivery method offered.
- Withdrawal is not possible in particular for goods in sealed packaging that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened (cosmetic preparations, adhesives, applicators), for goods adjusted to the buyer’s wishes, and for a service already provided with the consumer’s express consent.
- If the returned goods have decreased in value because they were handled other than as necessary to become acquainted with their nature and properties, the seller is entitled to compensation for that decrease.
7. Booking salon treatments
- A booking becomes binding when a deposit of 25% of the price of the treatment, or the full amount, is paid. Until then the time is only provisionally held.
- The remaining part of the price is paid at the salon after the treatment. For treatments priced “from”, the final price is agreed at the consultation before the treatment.
- An appointment can be cancelled or moved free of charge at least 72 hours before it starts, using the link in the confirmation email. For later cancellations, please call us — we will arrange another time.
- If a client does not attend without notice, the deposit is forfeited as compensation for the reserved time.
- The seller reserves the right to cancel an appointment for serious reasons; in that case an alternative time is offered, or the deposit is refunded in full without undue delay.
8. Courses
- An enrolment becomes binding when a deposit or the full price is paid. The place on the course is reserved once the payment is credited.
- If participation is cancelled more than 14 days before the course, the deposit is refunded in full; within a shorter period it serves as a cancellation fee — by agreement the course can be moved to another date.
- If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the seller may cancel the course and refunds the amount paid in full, or offers an alternative date.
- Materials, handouts and know-how provided during the course are intended solely for the participant’s personal use and may not be distributed further.
- Courses for schools are arranged individually; invoicing is either to the school or to individual participants as agreed.
9. Gift cards
- A gift card can be used for salon treatments, courses and goods in the e-shop, and it can be spent gradually — the remaining balance is recorded.
- A gift card is valid for 12 months from issue unless the parties agree otherwise.
- A gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. The seller is not liable for a lost or misused code.
10. Rights arising from defective performance
The rights and obligations of the parties arising from defective performance are governed by the relevant generally binding regulations, in particular Sections 1914 to 1925, 2099 to 2117 and 2161 to 2174b of the Czech Civil Code and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection. The complaint procedure is described on a separate page, Returns and complaints.
11. Out-of-court dispute resolution
The body competent for the out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, adr.coi.cz. Consumers may also use the online dispute resolution platform set up by the European Commission.
12. Personal data protection
The processing of personal data is described in a separate document, Privacy policy.
13. Final provisions
- The contract is concluded in the Czech language and is governed by the law of the Czech Republic.
- The seller may amend or supplement the wording of these terms; this does not affect rights and obligations that arose while the previous wording was in effect.
- If any provision is invalid or ineffective, it is replaced by a provision whose meaning comes closest to it. The remaining provisions stay in force.
