Map and contact →Classic lash extensions, or 1:1, means one extension bonded to each of your own lashes. The result looks like your own lashes — only longer, darker and lifted. It is the most natural of all the methods and it is what we recommend to almost every client for a first set.
We work with BL Lashes and choose length, curl and diameter according to what your own lashes can carry. That one decision is the difference between a set that lasts and a set that leaves your natural lashes weaker than it found them.
Who classic lashes suit
- You want an open, defined eye without mascara, but nobody should be able to tell you are wearing extensions.
- Your own lashes are healthy and of average density.
- You are tired of doing your eyes every morning and would like those ten minutes back.
- You have a wedding, a holiday or a photoshoot coming up and want your eyes taken care of in advance.
If your own lashes are fine or sparse, volume lashes will probably serve you better: there we place a light fan of several very fine extensions on a single natural lash, which builds density without loading the lash.
How the appointment goes
- First we look at the condition of your lashes and talk about the result you want. From that we choose length, curl and style.
- We cleanse and degrease the lashes — adhesive does not hold on an oily lash, and the set would start shedding within days.
- We secure the lower lashes with a protective pad. Your eyes stay closed throughout.
- Then the work itself: with tweezers we isolate a single natural lash and bond one extension to it, lash by lash, across both eyes.
- At the end we check that nothing has stuck together and let the adhesive cure.
The appointment takes around two hours and most clients fall asleep during it. It should not hurt at all — the extension is bonded to the hair, never to the skin.
How long a set lasts
Your lashes have their own growth cycle and shed naturally, taking the extension with them. After three to four weeks the set looks thinner and you come in for an infill, which replaces what has gone. An infill is quicker and cheaper than a new set.
Come regularly and you can carry on with infills for years. Let the set shed completely and we start again with a full set.
Looking after them at home
- No water and no sauna for the first 24 hours — the adhesive needs that time to cure fully.
- Avoid oil-based removers and micellar waters that contain oil; they break the adhesive down.
- You do not need mascara on extensions, and eyelash curlers are out altogether.
- Brush them through with a spoolie in the morning to keep them sitting properly.
- Try not to sleep face down — that is where most lashes are lost.
And above all: do not pull at them and do not try to take them off yourself. If you need them off sooner, come in for a professional removal. It takes a few minutes and your own lashes stay safe.

Frequently asked questions
How long do lash extensions last?
Three to four weeks before a full set naturally thins out — as your natural lashes shed, so do the extensions attached to them. Then, you just need to come in for an infill, which is both quicker and more affordable than a new set. With regular infills, you can have continuous lash extensions.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No, not if the length and thickness are chosen according to what your natural lashes can support, and if the set is removed professionally. Damage occurs in two ways: with overly long and heavy lashes, and by pulling them off at home. That is why during your consultation, we always advise on the appropriate length and when it is best not to go any further.
Does lash application hurt?
No, it does not. The extension is applied to your natural lash, never to the skin or eyelid. Your eyes are closed throughout the entire process, and your lower lashes are taped down, so nothing sticks together. Most clients fall asleep during the application.
Should I choose classic (1:1) lashes or volume lashes?
The classic (1:1) lashes is for a natural result and for lashes with normal density. Volume lashes (Russian Volume) are suitable when your natural lashes are sparse or if you desire a more dramatic look — a delicate fan of several very fine fibres is applied to one natural lash, increasing density without adding weight.
Can I go to the sauna and swim with lash extensions?
Yes, after the first 24 hours. Chlorine and salt can slightly shorten their lifespan, but they are not a problem. Avoid prolonged exposure to hot steam directly on your lashes, and brush them with a spoolie after swimming.
Can I apply mascara to my lash extensions?
We do not recommend it. Mascara is difficult to remove from lash extensions, and the removal process is when lashes are most likely to break. The whole point of lash extensions is that you do not need mascara.
