Map and contact →Micro rings are extensions without heat and without adhesive. The weft is fixed to your own hair with a tiny ring, clamped mechanically. Nothing chemical and nothing hot goes near your hair — which is exactly why we choose this method for hair that has already been through a lot.
The second advantage is maintenance. The ring can be released, moved up to the root and clamped again, so a refit is quicker than with keratin and the hair can be reused several times over.
When to choose micro rings
- Your hair is weakened, fine, or dry from colouring.
- You do not want heat or adhesive anywhere near it.
- You want the quicker refit.
- You plan to wear extensions long term and want to reuse the hair.
A ring can be felt a little more than a keratin bond. It does not show in the hair, but you will find it if you run your fingers through. If it matters to you that nothing can be felt at all, keratin will suit you better.
How the appointment goes
Fitting takes about three hours. We work in rows from the bottom up, close each ring with pliers and keep checking that the tension is even — uneven tension is the usual reason extensions start to pull.
Before the appointment we always call to go through length, shade, texture and quantity, because those decide both the price and how long you will be with us.
Maintenance
Bonds are usually refitted every two to three months, a little more often than keratin — a ring becomes visible as it grows away from the root. The refit itself is quicker.
Looking after them at home
- Sulphate-free shampoo; conditioner on the ends, not on the bonds.
- Never leave the hair wet and never sleep on wet hair.
- A loose plait for the night.
- Brush from the ends upwards with an extension brush.
- Do not sleep with your hair bunched under your head — that drags the rings down.
Taking them out
The ring is released with pliers and the weft comes away. Your own hair is left untouched, because no adhesive and no heat were ever used on it.

Frequently asked questions
How does micro ring differ from hot fusion keratin?
Micro ring attaches the strand mechanically with a ring — without heat or glue. It is therefore more suitable for weakened and fine hair. The keratin bond, however, is smaller and less noticeable.
How often are micro ring hair extensions moved up?
Usually every two to three months, which is slightly more often than keratin — the ring becomes more visible as it grows further from the root. However, moving them up is quicker, and the hair strands can be reused.
Is the ring visible or noticeable in the hair?
It is not visible, but it is noticeable — you will feel the ring when you run your hand over your head. If it is important to you that it is not palpable at all, hot fusion keratin bonds would be a better fit for you.
Will the hair extensions pull?
They should not. Pulling occurs from unevenly tightened rings or overly heavy strands, which is why the tension is continuously checked during application. If you feel any pulling after the application, please let us know — it can be adjusted.

Because the price and the length of your visit depend on the desired length, thickness, and shade, and how many strands that will entail. We will discuss this beforehand so you know the final amount before you arrive.
