Map and contact →Hot fusion is the most widely used method for adding length and density. A weft with a keratin bond is fused to your own hair with a heat tool. The bond is small, smooth and, in the hair, effectively invisible and hard to feel.
We work with 100% human hair, so it can be washed, blow-dried, curled and coloured. Shade and texture are matched carefully so that the join does not show — with extensions that matters more than the length.
When hot fusion makes sense
- You want length and density at the same time.
- Your own hair is healthy and of normal density at the root.
- You are happy to keep up with maintenance — extensions are not a fit-and-forget job.
- You want a result that holds for several months.
It is not the method for very fine or brittle hair — the bond needs healthy hair to carry it. If your hair has taken a beating, micro rings are usually the better answer, because they involve no heat.
How long it takes
Fitting takes time: allow around five and a half hours for a full head. You will be sitting, so bring a laptop or something to watch. We work in stages and take breaks.
Why we call you first
With extensions, price and duration cannot be judged from a photograph. They follow the length you want, how dense the finished hair should be and how many wefts that takes. So once you have booked, we will call you to go through length, shade, texture and quantity, and settle the price and the length of the appointment.
Maintenance and refits
As your hair grows, the bonds travel away from the scalp. After three to four months they need a refit: the wefts come out, the hair is cleaned of any residue, and the bonds are re-applied closer to the root. The hair itself can be reused, usually two to three times depending on its condition.
Looking after them at home
- Use a sulphate-free shampoo and keep conditioner away from the bonds.
- Never go to bed with wet hair; put it in a loose plait for the night.
- Brush daily with an extension brush, from the ends upwards.
- Oil-based serums belong on the ends only, never on the bonds — they break keratin down.
- Leave colouring and highlights to a hairdresser who knows the bonds are there.
Taking them out
The bonds are dissolved with a dedicated solution and the wefts slide out. Never pull them out at home — that is how natural hair gets damaged.

Frequently asked questions
How long do keratin hair extensions last?
The bonds need to be moved up after three to four months because the hair at the roots will have grown. The extended hair itself can be reused, usually two to three times depending on its condition.
Will keratin hair extensions damage my hair?
Not if applied correctly and if the bonds are moved up in time. Problems arise from two things: strands that are too heavy for weak hair, and delayed maintenance, which causes overgrown bonds to tangle. And most importantly, from removing them at home — that is how natural hair is most often lost.
Why is the price listed as 'from' and why do you call me?
Because it depends on the length and density you desire and how many strands will be needed. That is why we will contact you after your booking to discuss the length, shade, texture, and scope, and based on that, we will tell you the final price and the duration of your visit.
How long does the application take?
For a full set of hair extensions, allow five and a half hours. We will divide it into stages and take breaks — you can work on your laptop or watch a film during the application.
Can I dye and curl my hair extensions?
Yes, they are real human hair. Use curling irons and straighteners away from the bond areas, and leave colouring to a hairdresser who knows you have extensions. Oil-based serums should only be applied to the ends — they dissolve keratin.
Hot fusion keratin or micro ring?
Hot fusion keratin has the smallest and least noticeable bond and is suitable for healthy hair of normal density. Micro ring does not use heat or glue, making it more suitable for weakened hair and for clients who prefer not to have a heat-applied bond.
