About the course
Bridal make-up must meet three demands at once: it must last from morning till night, look beautiful in person, and photograph flawlessly. The latter is the hardest part and the most common reason why brides are disappointed with their photos.
This course assumes basic make-up knowledge. It is not about learning how to apply make-up, but how to apply make-up specifically for weddings — including the logistics that go with it.
What students will learn
- How to prepare the skin for long-lasting wear.
- How to choose a foundation with camera flash in mind.
- How to balance the intensity of eye and lip make-up so it works both in person and on camera.
- How to set make-up in layers, rather than just using a final setting spray.
- How to conduct a bridal trial: what questions to ask, what to note down, and how to evaluate the trial.
- How to plan the timeline for the wedding morning.
- How to handle unexpected situations — cold sores, redness, tears.
- How to advise the bride on preparation and what to give her for touch-ups during the day.

Does the course cover the logistics of the wedding morning?
Yes — the timings, looking after the bride, and the unexpected: a cold sore, redness, tears. It belongs to bridal make-up as much as the technique does.
