About the course
A one-day course focused on just one thing: bridal make-up. Bridal make-up has three requirements that you rarely find together — it must last from morning till night, look great in person, and look great in photos. The last one is the hardest and is the most common reason why brides are disappointed with their photos.
The course is for those who already have basic make-up artistry skills. It is not about learning how to apply make-up, but learning how to apply make-up for a wedding.
What you will learn
- How the camera sees make-up differently from the eye and which textures and products cause white flashback in photos.
- Skin preparation for long-lasting wear.
- Choosing foundation with flash photography in mind.
- Eye and lip intensity, where the limits differ from evening make-up.

Why does the course spend so long on how make-up photographs?
Because a camera does not see what the eye sees, and some textures turn into white patches under a flash. A face that is flawless in the room can read as washed out in a photograph — and the photographs are what the bride keeps.
Will I learn how to run a bridal trial?
Yes, and it is one of the substantial parts of the course. What to ask, what to write down and how to read the result — including how to spot that a product does not agree with the bride.
Does the course cover the logistics of the wedding morning?
Yes. The timings, looking after the bride, and dealing with the unexpected — a cold sore, redness, tears. All of that belongs to bridal make-up as much as the technique does.
