About the course
A basic make-up artistry course designed for beauty therapy students. It is not about products, but about techniques — and most of the time is spent working on a model, as make-up is a hands-on skill.
The course also addresses the most common mistake made by beginners: choosing the wrong foundation shade and undertone. Even a layperson can spot a mismatched foundation, and no other technique can save it.
What students will learn
- How to identify skin type and condition and prepare it accordingly.
- How to select the correct foundation shade and determine the undertone.
- How to master concealing, colour correcting, contouring, and highlighting.
- How to sculpt the face based on its proportions.
- Eye make-up techniques — blending, smoky eyes, and eyeliner.
- How to fill in brows as part of the make-up look.
- How to apply lip make-up, including lip line correction.
- How to set make-up in layers for long-lasting wear.
- Distinguishing between daytime, evening, and bridal make-up.
- Understanding hygiene standards and brush care.

Frequently asked questions
Is the course suitable for students with no experience?
Yes, it assumes no prior level at all.
Do students need to bring their own products and brushes?
No, materials and tools are included. The course also covers how to look after brushes and how to build up a kit.
How much of the course is practical?
Most of it. Make-up is a manual skill — theory is necessary, but what counts is that students do the face themselves with someone correcting their hand.
